HOMELESS SHELTER .
Dear Mayor:
Everybody knows about your good heart and human kind with the homeless people. Every day, many people are sleeping in the subways, parks, trains. It shows the social inequality and it is an indication of an economic recession in this city. You know about this situation about homeless people in New York, so they need a dignified place where they can be sure and secure. You have to choose between two options; building a homeless shelter or building a shopping mall. This is an important decision for New York City because in this city the homeless people are improving. Your decision will have good impact in our city. It will provide jobs opportunity for unemployed people, improve community education, and it provides health care for the homeless.
You should build a homeless shelter because it will increase jobs in this city. First of all homeless shelter can provide jobs opportunity for construction workers. We will need to hire different workers in order to build a shelter. We need carpenters, engineers, plumbers, electricians, and painters. Currently the unemployment rate is very high. Hiring people to build a homeless shelter, unemployment rate is going to lower it. Secondly, for example some homeless need help from social workers. After finishing school, social workers will have an opportunity to find jobs in homeless shelters. Finally, building a homeless shelter is another place that doctors and nurses can get jobs. They will give medical examination and health care assistance to them. Homeless shelter provides many different jobs.
Building a homeless shelter, not only. One reason, shelter is a place where live people with different ages. Many young homeless did not finish their school. In homeless shelter, they will have opportunity to study, finish school, and get a GED. They will be able to develop basic skills learning like reading, writing and values; also, they could assist some college and get a degree. In the conceivable future, they can leave homeless shelter, and they will be able to have their own home. They will be productive people with independent live. Another reason, there are some intelligent homeless people in homeless shelter, with know ledges, and experience, they know some jobs skills that they learned when they were young. They will have the opportunity to teach others and could be reintegrating to the society. For example, I saw on the TV a story about one important journalist. He shared his sad story with his audience. He had been homeless in one stage of his live, but he was rescued by the homeless shelter. They gave him assistance. Now he is working in the same profession that he used to work before. Finally, shelters can assist homeless with drugs, and alcohol problems. Teaching them about cause-effects of drugs, they will realize what they were consuming, they will be positive testimony for the others. In addition, in the shelter, homeless will be teach about personal care, hygiene, also they will have instructions about how to prevent, illness, like the flu, AIDS, sexual illness. In shelters, homeless could receive teaching-assistance in different ways.
Building a homeless shelter, not only, increase jobs in this city or could be good opportunity for the city to improve community education, but also is good for the city because it provide health care for homeless. First of all, homeless live in the street, trains, parks, and they have bad nourishment, in consequence they are feeble people. Many of them are utterly ill, so the infections are not good with them. With out medical assistance, they soon will die. Shelters can provide medical examination to homeless people. It will determine what kind of illness, sickness or disease they have. Later homeless will receive the appropriate medication that they need. Young homeless are most prone to get infection from the illness people with easy infection, like flu, AIDS, and tetanus. Now the flu is threatening to the population. Homeless shelter can provide for them vaccines in order to avoid infection to the rest of population. Secondly, homeless do not have dental care. In homeless shelter, they will have teeth treatment, and some of them will need artificial denture. With good dental care, they could avoid digestive problems for bad chewing of food. Another reason, some homeless people have drugs problems; in shelter, they could find medical assistance for their problems; and in the conceivable future, they will be healthy people without drugs addiction. Finally, Psychiatrists could offer help to the homeless with mental, depress problems, and they could offer their services to them. Homeless shelter can give medical assistance to the homeless with health problems.

In conclusion, building homeless shelter, the city and the government will be healthy solution for homeless people. The homeless people need one opportunity or chance to improve their live. Building a homeless shelter will be jobs opportunities for many people, improve the community education, and provide health care for them. You have to give them the right help that they need, and we will have city with urban renew dignity of the big metropolis.
