Improving Schools in a Bad Neighborhood
Dear Mr. Mayor
We noticed that you received a large donation. You are trying to use this money in the way that helps the people in the city. In addition, we know that you have two options: one is to use the money to improve the schools in a bad neighborhood, and the other option is, to improve the quality of the neighborhoods near tourist attractions such as the Met and Times Square. Now you are near to elections. We believe that the correct impact to use this money will be helping the schools in bad neighborhoods. It will provide jobs opportunity for many people, community education in the city, and neighborhood in the city is going to be safe and with urban renewal.
Using money for to help schools in a bad neighborhood will provide jobs opportunity for different kind of professionals. First of all, The schools in a bad neighborhood are in bad conditions. I saw a school near my home, whose doors and windows are broken, the walls and painting are coming down, the hygienic batteries are broken and have a bad odor. You will need to hire engineers, constructions workers, painters, plumbers, carpenters and handymen in order to fix and put the schools in good conditions. Now the unemployment rate is increased. By hiring them, the unemployment rate is going to decrease. As a result, many people are not going to depend from the government assistance. Secondly, with school in good conditions, it will be able to offer services to the students and community; it will be jobs opportunity for young teachers. They will develop their teaching skills with students and community. Finally, the students are going to need assistance from the socials workers, personal assistance, janitors, securities, police, kitchen personal, in order to display organization in the school. In conclusion, with schools in good condition, many people could find job there and get benefit.
Schools in good conditions will improve education in the city. First of all, many students are skip school and missing class because they need extra programs that catch their attention. For example, they need arts and theater programs because they want to spend the time doing new activities. Improving some arts class will be an opportunity to discover new talents in different disciplines like singing, drawing, dancing and painting because they could express their feelings, and develop skills through the arts. Secondly, practicing some sports, the students will grow up healthy and their bones will become strong. The school needs sports programs where the students can practice and learn some sports. In the actuality, because of inactivity the childhoods are overweight. Practicing some sports the students will be healthy; the overweight is going to stop because they could spend their energy exercising. Sports help to discipline the people. Finally, many students did not do their homework because their parents are unable to take care of them early. The school needs to improve after school programs for students and community. Improving after school program for students whose parents work and are unable take care them early, they will have ready their homework for the next school day. They will be successful. I have experience about this program because in the school where my son studies offer to them this kind of program, and my son is ones who gets this benefit; he is happy there because he also practices some sports and make friends. In conclusion, school with many programs, the schools are going to improve the students’ population.
You should help to the school in a bad neighborhood because it will increase safety. First of all, with schools in good conditions, it will provides security and healthy place to the students. Every day the students are missing class and integrating group of gangs, As a result, the robbery and crime rate are increase because they need easy and fast money for to paid their vices. In consequence, we have dangerous neighborhood. With good school in operation, they will be sure there. Another reason, many students, who quit from the school are walking outside and selling drugs. They are at the parks, and corners looking for more victims. You should help to the schools in order to reduce the number of students leaving the school, and reduce the number of victims from the drugs and gangs. Many weeks ago, I saw one student who was selling drugs near my son’s school; the police addressed him. He looked how he sold drugs to the rest of students. Finally, because of the insecurity, gangs, drugs, and crime many businesses are closing and their owners are leaving this neighborhood. Helping schools in a bad neighborhood, you are displaying security them. Many businesses will be back to these places. The image of neighborhood is going to change badly by good. In conclusion, neighborhood with good schools will be attraction for the rest of population, and many students from the others place could go there, and get benefit. The families will be proud living there. It will show an urban renew to the tourist and rest of population, and many people will want to live there.
In conclusion, helping schools in a bad neighborhood, we will have jobs opportunity for many kind of professionals, incorporating new programs to the schools it will be improve community education, and they will have safety and grateful environment with urban renew attractive to the population, tourist. Give to the young people the right help that they need for to change their life, and in the future, they will be confident person, successful people with an independent life.
